Do you love to write? Do you have a piece that evokes critical, controversial thought? Information that could improve people's lives? An excerpt of fiction you'd love to share to promote your work? Let it find a vacation home on Cashmere Ink.

What I'm Offering

1. A dedicated author page with a complete profile and links included. Multiple links from your piece will bring visitors to your page, and you can link to whatever you want; your writing's permanent home, your book, your course, your blog, affiliate offers, your YouTube channel - whatever you want.

2. A place for your writing that is not interested in rights or SEO benefits. The byline is yours, linked to your profile page and the original source if applicable. The work is yours, publish it anywhere else at any time. Cashmere Ink is a place for the curation of fine writing, that's it. No strings attached.

3. If you'd like, I will also cross-post your work to the Cashmere Ink Tumblr page. Links to your profile page will be included there as well. It's just more exposure if you so choose.

4. $50 through PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App upon publication. It ain't much, but it comes with the benefits above. Cashmere Ink is currently looking for writers interested in getting eyes on their work and building an ecosystem of their own. If what I'm offering here offends you, no hard feelings. Your work deserves a publication that you feel compensates fairly.

What Cashmere Ink Doesn't Do

1. I don't claim any exclusive rights to your work, for any period of time. I don't require it to stay published either. I only ask that if you request it to be taken down within a year of publication, that you refund my initial payment of $50.

2. I don't publish anything directly political or current news. This is a place for controversial thought pieces, honest and in-depth reviews, and information that helps people improve their lives or craft.

3. I don't host ads, track visitors, or put up paywalls. My income stems from affiliate revenue tied directly into specific pages on the site, not within content. This would be the same way your author profile page functions - as a springboard for genuinely interested readers to support you by exploring your links.

4. I don't change your work. If I feel the need to edit for readability, structure, or (on very rare occasion) length, then I will run it by you. Your voice and your argument will never be altered. If you've read my work, you know I don't shy away from a cultural hot take, humor, or the occasional, necessary profanity. Submit without fear of offending or unapproved alteration. Cashmere Ink is about fine writing, which only comes in one form: authentic and uninhibited.

Please email me at submissions(at)cashmereink.com and provide me with a small pitch about the piece you wish to publish, or a link to the one you'd like to cross-post on this site. I will contact you and we can correspond through email to get the process started.

Make sure you replace '(at)' with the @ symbol when you email. I hate how scraper bots have ruined the internet.

A Note on Fiction

Right now, I can only publish writing in the horror, fantasy, and sci-fi genres because that is the literary world I am in touch with. I would be doing readers a disservice by making editorial decisions about fiction I don't normally read or write, because I have no basis for deciding whether it's enjoyable or not.

In the future I may be able to pay freelance editors more interested in other genres to consider those submissions. If that changes, this notice will change as well.

Mini Book Model by Chris Stanley: My Review

Mini Book Model Validates Writers to Publish Short Non-Fiction Books I picked up this ebook on a whim after about an hour of searching for something to read that had to do with ebook writing and publishing. Overall, I was not disappointed and Mini Book Model left me with some great ideas. It is the first book in Chris Stanley 's 7-book Mini Book Publishing series. Chris claims to run his own seven-figure mini book publishing business while sailing around the world with his family on their sailboat. Legitimate, or some fuckass lie? I do not know. What I do know is that he has written a large number of what he dubs "mini books", and that Mini Book Model is itself one of these books. So he practices what he preaches at least. Best Horror Story Tips for Writers: Part 1

Writing is difficult. Writing in a way that makes your readers feel truly connected to the story and evokes emotion is on another level. In the case of writing horror stories, beginners often want to jump straight to gore and strong, descriptive visuals to try and evoke feelings like disgust and discomfort. However, scary stories like that often fall flat and end up being unimpressive. As a horror writer you definitely want to make your readers feel: Disgust Fear Discomfort Paranoia Shock Uncertainty Etc. If it is a bad feeling, you want to nurture it.
